Our Mission

Neurodiversity in Medicine is a group of medical students who are invested in caring for and celebrating neurodiverse patients. Overall, the organization aims to reduce stigma through spotlighting and bringing educational/service opportunities to the neurodivergent community. Events will focus on highlighting the perspectives of neurodivergent individuals, parents, family members, and healthcare professionals to gain a better understanding of how to best support neurodiversity in the field of medicine. Some topics of interest include visit adaptations, social narratives, the patient/ family perspective, disability empowerment, advocacy, education for future healthcare providers and more.
